CSRP Update Wednesday, May 13, 2009


Squirrel #6, "Horace", was detained briefly this afternoon , then transported to the Near Island Squirrel Sanctuary (NISS) at 1600 hours. Activity is now minimal, but members of the Cliffside Squirrel Relocation Project (CSRP) remain vigilant. No federal stimulus funds have been dedicated to this project, but participants remain hopeful that Alaska governor Sarah Palin will release funds for project infrastructure.

CSRP Emergency Update!


At 1230 ADT another red squirrel was captured and transported to NIISS. This is the fourth squirrel captured this week.
Squirrel activity has now returned to a low level. Further updates will be posted as necessary.

Cliffside Squirrel Relocation Project (CSRP)



The CSRP continues to enjoy good success.
Squirrel #3, "Binky", was successfully apprehended and relocated to the Near Island International Squirrel Sanctuary (NIISS) today at 0730.
Current red squirrel activity is now low.
CSRP updates will be posted as squirrel activity warrants.
